I have waited a long time to share with you my edible art! I was commissioned, along with the wonderful Maja Smend Food Photographer and Lydia Brun Prop Stylist, to recreate iconic pieces of art out of food. All the art in the photographs is edible, either handcrafted from cake, biscuits, sugar cubes or Ploughman’s ingredients! The Edible Masterpieces is the idea of national fundraising charity The Art Fund to support museums and galleries. For more info check out http://www.artfund.org/get-involved/edible-masterpieces

Ok, so where has January gone? It has disappeared in a flash and without realising it I have reached February. The new year went off with a bang for me as I continued working on a fab project with Mr. Martin Poole for Marks & Spencers. Hopefully I will be able to share the goodies with you soon, but in the meantime here are some of my fave features from the end of 2013 into 2014! Enjoy

Tesco Finest

Back in 2013 I was lucky enough to work with the super and fabulous Steve Baxter photographer. I helped him for a few days on his latest project of relaunching and redefining the Tesco Finest Packaging range. With his stunning photography together we created some beautiful pieces. Here are a couple…..I think you will agree it is a striking range.

Marks & Spencer Halloween

It all got a little bit spooky back at the end of July, yep thats right it was my favourite time of year HALLOWEEN!!!!!….eek

So the lovely folk at M&S Magazine, asked me to prop style and food style their spooky halloween feature, I was more than excited to say the least. So here are a few pictures from planning, through to shooting, through to the finished article! I hope you like…

Planning the Props

So after trawling the prop houses, websites and my own craft cupboard I put together the shots as I see them happening. Then once they are bubbled wrapped up and taken to the shoot, its time to unveil my vision!

My Studio for the Day

More often than not you can find me in a studio somewhere in the city, creating scenes and styling food on wonderful props. So you can imagine my delight when the studio I was shooting in last week was filled with all sorts of vintage goodies…it was a barn with soul and a dodgy floor! But it all added to the fun of the day, working around such hazards and making sure I walked the line on the safe wooden boards! Oh the things us food stylists have to deal with! Can’t complain really it was much fun and a real escape from city life! Here’s a sneak peak…
